"Rackham Cemetery"

Set on the old Rackham Farm, this small burial ground is situated on Harris Road just north of Roosevelt Highway (Rt. 18).

Theta Hakes Brown, Chairman of the Orleans Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Genealogical Records Committee, recorded the names of legible stones on September 25, 1933. In her visit to the cemetery, she wrote:

"Until recently there were many stones and large trees. All the trees have been cut and stock allowed to pasture in the field. Probably there are many under the rank grass."

She recorded only two names in the inventory:

Betsey Monk, wife of Abraha, died Mar. 29, 1848 - a.e. 31 yrs. 6 mo. 26 da.
Maude M. Wilson, daughter of Almeron and Lo[vi]na, died Oct. 5, 1869 a.e. 13 mo. 20 da.

"Both stones are lying on the ground."
